One of most frustrating tasks of any web publisher is getting their web content quickly spidered by the search engines. It’s often publish and wait and wait…and wait some more.

There are solutions, but most of them require some work.  If you have more than one website, you’ll be spending a lot of your valuable time each day on this, when you could and should be spending it on more profitable tasks.

One solution is to use the “blog and ping” technique.  Here’s how it works:

First, you build a search engine “spider trap” by creating a free blog on Blogger.com (search engines can’t resist freshly updated content).

Next, sign up for a free account at MyYahoo.com.

Then, post links to the web pages you want spidered inside your blog.

Finally, notify the search engine spiders by sending (or “pinging”), with the click of a button, the blog to your MyYahoo account.

It only takes 15 minutes or less to get any page you want into the search engines.  And best of all, you didn’t have to spend hours writing anything.

But, I find that even doing it manually takes too much time when I have a lot of pages.

So I went searching for a better alternative and found Blogging Equalizer, a tool that automates the process. It allows me to potentially get thousands of pages into the search engines without any time-consuming or tedious work.

I found it easy to put Blogging Equalizer into action.  I just filled in my information and the software scoured my website to uncover all of its pages.  Then, I just clicked the “Blog Now” button.

I couldn’t find any noticeable flaws with the program, and I’ve already gotten a free upgrade.

One of the big advantages Blogging Equalizer has over other tools is that the software works as though a person is pushing the buttons. That means the search engines won’t recognize your submissions as coming from a piece of software, which is a great thing.

My Verdict: If you only have a single small website (and don’t intend to build anymore), then this tool may not be worth your time. You’re better off doing the technique manually. But, if you’re constantly creating new websites, getting Blogging Equalizer is a no-brainer, because it gets your websites off to the right start so they start making money a lot faster than they otherwise would.
