Do you know if your website is visible to search engine spiders? You might think so, but it’s surprising how little search engines can actually see. For example, Flash and Javascript-based content and links might not be visible to search engine spiders.

And although images and image mapping for navigation or content displayed as images are visible to you, they’re invisible to spiders, which lower your page rankings.

To better understand how to optimize my sites for search engines, I use this free spider emulator tool, which emulates a search engine by displaying the contents of a web page as a search engine spider would see it.

I’ve been amazed at how much of each page isn’t spidered by the search engines. This tool helps me to pinpoint the changes I need to make.

This free spider emulator tool is provided by SubmitPlus.com. They have additional services that can help you organically get your website to the top of Google, MSN, and Yahoo.

search engine optimization. But I got a question, do you think onpage factors or offpage factors play a bigger role for SEO? Please advise”
