Wordpress Direct is a new product in a long line of automated Internet marketing systems that seem to be in vogue now. My guess is that these automated systems are popular because there are so many new marketers who are trying to quickly get their piece of the pie.

Times being what they are, I can understand that. But before you buy anything (especially when it involves joining a monthly membership) you need to really evaluate each system to understand if you need it and if it will really get you where you need to be in your business.

So let’s talk specifically about Wordpress Direct, which is an automated system that enables anyone to create multiple, niche Wordpress blogs that are fully optimized and include plugins that continuously pull content from articles, videos, and shopping sites.

You select from about a large selection of Wordpress themes for each blog. The themes are pretty basic, but you can tweak them if you have experience.

The Wordpress Direct sales pitch is that their system makes installing a blog simple, that the automated postings raise your search engine rankings, and that you’ll make money through Adsense and affiliate products.

Of course, not everything is automated. For each blog you set up, you have to decide on a niche and research and select your keywords.

But that’s a small issue if you can really make money with these sites, isn’t it?

Can you make money with your blogs?

Well, Wordpress Direct says you can, and I’m hoping that’s true. But I have some qualms about the duplicate content you’re pulling in to your blogs. WordPress Direct says it’s not a problem, but the jury is still out for me.

And you still have to drive traffic to your blogs. If you can do that, you’ll have a shot at making money. Without traffic, I can’t see how it’s possible.

If I was sure these blogs would be moneymakers, I would advise you to spend the $127 per months for a Gold membership that includes 100 blogs.

But I don’t know if you’ll make money, so it would make more sense to me to pay $1 for a 45 day trial. You get 10 blogs. You can use that time to evaluate the results and decide if you want to continue those blogs at $37 per month for a Bronze membership.

They also have a Silver membership at $97 per month for 20 blogs.

In addition to your membership, you’ll have to pay for domain names and hosting with a cpanel host.

They’re still working out some kinks to the system, so expect a few glitches right now.

My Verdict: If you’re new to Internet marketing and want to see if the Wordpress Direct automated system of quantity blogging can be profitable for you, take chance and spend the $1 for a 45 day trial. Be prepared to spend time setting the blogs up and driving traffic to them though. If it works, great. If not, you can always cancel before the trial period is up and you’re only out a dollar.

If you’re interested in putting your toe into Internet Marketing waters, you really should consider starting with affiliate marketing.

Why? It’s simple. You don’t have to take a big financial risk, and you’ll learn a lot about the whole process of Internet Marketing at the same time.

There are many affiliate marketing courses on the web – some good, and some not so good – and one of the good ones I found is Chris Rempel’s Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate.

The refreshingly hype-free sales page tells it like it is – you’re going to learn the five proven techniques they use to make substantial online revenue.

The five techniques consist of viral marketing (information that passes from one person to another), SEO linking methods, building useful resources…and then doing it all over again.

All of this is done without using pay-per-click advertising, so you won’t have to invest a lot of money.

Don’t think these techniques only work on Clickbank affiliate programs; you’ll get great results with any quality affiliate program.

My verdict: I really like Confessions of a Lazy Super Affiliate. There’s no fluff, just good solid information that can help you become a successful Internet Marketer.

Update: See my review of Blogging to the Bank 3.0.

It sometimes seems that everyone has a blog these days. It’s pretty easy to set up a blog; it’s not as easy to make money from it.

But Rob Benwell seems to have cracked the code. He’s only 22 years-old and he says he earns a six-figure salary from blogging. Is that true? Who knows, but it is clear that he’s pretty darned successful.

A few years ago, Rob released the first edition of Blogging to the Bank, back when blogging was in its infancy. In the book, he provided a step-by-step blueprint to help Internet marketers get revenue from their blogs. It kickstarted the blog-as-income business, and lots of people were able to make money from their blogs.

But times change, and the Internet waits for no man (or woman). Some of Rob’s techniques became outdated. So he recently released Blogging to the Bank 2, which contains new “secrets” and updated techniques, and I must say, it’s quite impressive.

His writing is straightforward and easy to understand. He includes new information about how to create profitable long-term niche blogs by using the newest optimization techniques, and makes the complicated world of search engine optimization understandable.

Newbies and experienced Internet Marketers will all get something out of Blogging to the Bank 2. Even if you only get a few nuggets, I think it’s worth the price (which is very reasonable.)

Rob includes a bunch of bonuses to get you to buy, and they’re pretty useful.

My Verdict: Even if you think you know all about how to monetize your blog, you’ll learn some new techniques from Blogging to the Bank 2. I’d say, give it a whirl.

There’s one big truism in Internet marketing: Google and the other search engines love content. Without quality content, your search engine rankings will suffer, and your visitors won’t have a reason to keep coming back to your website.

That’s why website owners often publish articles from article directories in return for including a short author resource box.

The problem with this method is that you have to manually create your web pages and put in each article, which can take hours for only a few dozen articles. Since time is money, this isn’t a very profitable way of working.

So Rod Beckwith and Jeff Alderson developed Article Equalizer, software that automates the process by importing hundreds of relevant articles, putting them into a pre-designed web page, and then uploading them to your website.

This means you can build a site with hundreds of pages in minutes, instead of many long hours and keep it fresh by adding new content on a regular basis.

Overall, I’d say that Article Equalizer does its job well. In just a short time, it can increase the size of your site by hundreds of pages with content search engines love.

You can use the software for all of your sites, anytime you want, and without paying a lot of writer fees that can quickly add up. Article Equalizer takes advantage of content that is already available for your taking and makes getting large amounts of it practical.

My Verdict: If you have a one page website or an AdSense website, Article Equalizer can really help you increase your ranking in the search engines and get repeat visitors.
